Joyce Fernandes began as a writer. Her first interview with Femina was with Shashikala Kakodkar, the first lady CM of Goa. Thereafter, several in-dept profile articles followed with VIPs and other women including Lions Club Ladies she interacted with as the secretary of the Ladies Wing of the Lions Club, Panjim.
Success with her foray into publication-the compilation of a small book of recipes to raise funds for the Lion’s Club, acted as the catalyst that fuelled her zeal to publish a full fledged book.
