About the Author
Sipra Roy, AKA Urmila, was born and brought up in India. After completing an MPhil from the University of Calcutta, India, she served as a teacher in a school for under-privileged students.
She is an active member of the Academy of American Poets, IWWG, Florida State Poetry Association and a participant in the Inter-generational Program in DOROT, a Jewish Senior Center. She has written poems, a novel, memoirs, short stories, non-fiction as well as lyrics and drama-skits, which have been staged successfully under the instructions of Broadway Internees. Some of her ‘solo’ writing pieces have been published on SCN, FSPA, and Eber & Wein, but have not been published as a book so far. Eyes Are Notorious is her debut publication.
