Case study tells the story of a young woman who goes undercover to investigate if a charismatic psychotherapist was responsible for driving her sister to suicide.

To do so, assuming a false identity, she presents herself to him as a client, recording her experiences in a notebook. Soon however the lines between fact and fiction blur and she no longer can be certain of anything.

Here passages of her notebook are interspersed with a biography of the charismatic psychotherapist to present a wickedly humorous rendition of the nature of sanity, identity and truth itself.

Longlisted for The Booker Prize 2022.
