About the Contributors
Anuradha Sengupta is a freelance writer-editor. Her work has appeared in The Hindu Himal, CNN, Gulf News, New York-based Women's Media Center, Utne-award winning Kitchen Sink, and Roads & Kingdoms. She is the founder editor of Jalebi Ink, an award -winning media collective for children and youth. She has worked in war zones, reporting from Kuwait after the Gulf War, and consulting on a citizen's media project in Afghanistan. Her most memorable journey was travelling through Kandahar in a bulletproof vest and blue burkha. She loves to walk around neighnourhoods, exploring urban subcultures.
Kalyani Ganapathy finds inspiration in the patterns and details found in nature. Her work involves translating anything written into pictures, preferably with a bit of whimsy. She enjoys learning new crafts, walking on mountain trails and being mesmerised by her organic kitchen garden.
