About the Contributors
Kavitha Punniyamurthi loves creating books for children. A lover of chocolate, ice cream and picture books, Kavitha believes she never really grew up. Among her prized possessions is an old wooden toy she found at her grandmother’s long, long ago—a red-and-black striped pambaram.
Ajanta Guhathakurta has studied fine arts at the College of Art, Delhi, and has illustrated and designed books for various publishers, including The Auto that Flew for Pratham Books. A recipient of the Certificate of Honour at the International Board on Books for Young People in 2002, she also paints and conducts creative workshops for children.
