About the Contributors

The author has been writing since 1984, often working on her books as she accompanies her physicist husband on visits around the globe. SOme of her best know books include The Ghost Dance, Dreamsong, The Year of the Ranch and Roxaboxen. She lives in the United States.

The illustrator is also a writer, a biologist and Managing Editor of the Biodiversity Journal. He lives in Kulu, Himachal Pradesh. The illustrations for this book reflect the luminous colours of the Himalayan skies over India.
