About the Contributors
Adriaen van de Velde was a Dutch animal and landscape painter. His favourite subjects were sheep, cattle, goats and dogs!
Aileen Fisher was an American author with more than a hundred children's books to her credit.
Guha Dharmarajan is research scientist, disease ecologist, a veterinarian and an animal lover. He lives with his cat, Maximus, in Aiken.
Kalli Dakos is a Canadian writer, poet, teacher, and a reading specialist.
Sarang Dev Murthy, age 8, wrote The Runway Puppy with the technical help of his father, Vasudev Murthy.
Amee Mendez is a soul of compassion from Bengaluru who rescues abandoned dogs, provides them with shelter, medical care and food, and helps them find new homes.
Bhavani Ramesh is a traveller, a photographer, and a writer by desire. Injumani, or Inji, is her best friend.
Bindia Thapar was an architect by training and an illustrator by choice. She designed and illustrated a wide variety of books, and was best known for her drawings for children.
Bruno Liljefors was a Swedish wildlife painter. He was also one of the earliest Swedish comic creators.
Dasgupta does social campaigns for non-profit organisations. She loves illustrating for children's books and has a special interest in cinema, theatre and music. Currently, she resides in Singapore.
Geeta Dharmrajan loves writing stories for children. Geeta was earlier one of the editors of Target, a magazine for children, and the Pennsylvania Gazette, the magazine of University of Pennysylvania. She has also been awarded the Prestigious Padma Shri in 2012, for her distinguished service in the field of Literature and Education.
