Neil Richard MacKinnon Gaiman is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels, nonfiction, audio theatre, and films.
P Craig Russel is an American comics artist, writer, and illustrator. His work has won multiple Harvey and Eisner Awards. Russell was the first mainstream comic book creator to come out as openly gay.
Kevin Nowlan is an American comics artist who works as a penciler, inker, colorist, and letterer. He has been called "one of the few artists who can be called 'artists's artist'", a master of the various disciplines of comic production, from "design to draftsmanship to dramatics".
Scott Hampton is a freelance comic book artist known for his diversity, Hampton has illustrated such iconic properties as Batman, Sandman, Black Widow, Hellraiser, and Star Trek in addition to work on his creator-owned projects such as The Upturned Stone.
He began his career following in the footsteps of brother and fellow comic book creator Bo Hampton. Both Scott and Bo studied under Will Eisner in 1976. Scott's first professional comics work was the three-page story "Victims" published in Warren Publishing's Vampirella #101 in 1981. Scott's work on Silverheels from Pacific Comics in 1983 is regarded as the first continuing painted comic. His latest works include Spookhouse, released in 2004 by IDW Publishing, in which he adapted his favorite ghost stories into sequential form, and Batman: Gotham County Line from DC comics in 2005. Scott is co-creator on Simon Dark with writer Steve Niles for DC Comics.
Lovern Kindzierski has been recognized by the Comic Buyer’s Guide survey as one of comics’ most influential colorists in the history of the industry. Lovern won a Wizard Fan Award for his work in 1993 and 1994 as well as a Comic Buyer’s Fan Award in 1998.
Rick Parker is an American artist, writer, and cartoonist whose humorous artwork has appeared in The New York Times, The Village Voice, Time magazine, U.S. News & World Report, Life magazine, and various comic books published by Marvel Comics.
Parker is widely known as the artist of MTV's Beavis and Butt-Head comic book, published by Marvel from 1994 to 1996. He wrote and illustrated his own graphic novel, Deadboy, in 2010.
David Lafuente is a Spanish-born comic book artist known for his work on books such as Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man. He currently resides in London.Lafuente first penciled such series as Phénix and Kabur (written by Jean-Marc Lofficier) for Hexagon Comics, then was discovered by Marvel Editor C.B. Cebulski at the Dublin City Comic Con during the editor's self-named talent search ChesterQuest", though the artist's official website displays professional work dated much earlier than this. His first work for Marvel was doing the layouts and coloring for Spider-Man Family #2, Published in 2007. His first major work, however, was providing the pencils/inks for Kathryn Immonen's 2008-2009 Hellcat mini-series. After collaborating with writer Brian Michael Bendis on an Ultimate Spider-Man Annual in 2008, he was picked as the regular artist for that series' 2009 relaunch, which debuted in August 2009.He took over New Mutants as the regular artist, starting on issue 29, which was a tie-in to the 2011 "Fear Itself" storyline.
Galen Showman is an award-winning artist whose illustrations have appeared across a wide range of media. Best known for his work in comics, he has illustrated a number of high-profile titles for a variety of publishers. Starting at Caliber Comics, he produced the critically acclaimed graphic novel Renfield with writer/publisher Gary Reed. He went on to collaborate with P. Craig Russell on The Clowns (I Pagliacci) for Dark Horse Comics and JLA: Age of Wonder for DC Comics. His other credits include Hellboy, The Big Book… series, Raven Chronicles, The Devil’s Footprints, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His work was also featured in the retrospective book Star Wars Art: Comics (Abrams). Recent projects include The Graveyard Book (Harper) and the Eisner Award-winning anthology Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream (Locust Moon Press). He is currently working on pencils for P. Craig Russell’s graphic novel adaptations of Lois Lowry’s The Giver and Neil Gaiman’s American Gods
