The Occupation Trilogy is a collection of three novels by Patrick Modiano, a Nobel Prize-winning French author. The novels are set during the period of the German occupation of France during World War II, and explore the themes of identity and memory. The three novels included in the trilogy are “La Place de l’Étoile,” “The Night Watch,” and “Ring Roads,” all known for their precision in setting and the disorientation of the characters.

“La Place de l’Étoile” is the first novel in the trilogy and is a darkly comic exploration of the life of a young Jewish man in occupied Paris. “The Night Watch” is the second novel and follows the story of a young man who becomes involved in the black market during the occupation. “Ring Roads” is the final novel in the trilogy and explores the life of a young woman who is searching for her missing father.

The Occupation Trilogy was published in English in 2015 and provides a powerful and moving portrait of life in occupied France during World War II.
