About the Contributors

Stephen Aitken was born in Canada. He writes and illustrates books from his studio in the foothills of the Himalayas. He believes in the unity of life and the conservation of animals, plants and ecosystems. He has written over 30 books and is also the editor of Biodiversity, Journal of Life on Earth, published in the UK.

Sylvia Sikundar has degrees in Anthropology and Sociology and has taught in high school, introducing her students to the richness of other cultures. Her children's books have been published in Canada, USA, England, and India. She now live on an island off the west coast of Canada.

Joyita Banerjee graduated from Pearl Academy, Delhi and works with Katha as a graphic designer. Old Man Who Would Not Listen was the first book she illustrated for children.
