This book is a collection of 108 haiku and 25 haibun that take the reader through a journey into the depths of emotions that are easily identifiable and stand out for their disarming honesty.
Traditional Japanese haiku consist of three phrases that contain a kireji, or “cutting word”. Haiku originated as an opening part of a larger Japanese poem called renga.
Haibun combines haiku with prose.
