This book of poems is based on the fractured relationships and accompanying disastrous ends of cultural icons, including Rimbaud (French Poet), Nietzsche (German philosopher), Van Gogh (Dutch painter), and Jim Morrison (American singer/songwriter and poet)
The book is an attempt to see the rarely debated but frequently discussed past that affected their life, the consequences of which they hid from others yet it impacted them well until their untimely demise.
The first part reflects the major incidents and the agony of having been dragged by the pain, whether it be Rimbaud-Verlaine, Salome-Nietzsche, Vincent-Theo, or Jim Morrison’s misadventures.
The second part is series of poems over meditations on lament.
