A year later, Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature and his works were translated into dozens of languages. This new anthology edited by Tagore’s biographers is an authoritative selection which provides a fine introduction to his work, new translations from Bengali and a perfect balance between the diverse genres in which he worked.
