About the Contributors

Dhumketu is the pen name of Gaurishankar Govardhanram Joshi. He was bortn in 1892 in Gujarat. In his memoirs he writes about hw stories flowed through him from a very young age. He has written over 500 short stories, twenty nine historical novels, numerous plays, essays, literary criticism and memoirs and has several translations attributed to his name.

The translator is also a writer and book reviewer. Her short story collection, Each of Us Killers, was critically well-received. Her writing has appeared in venues like The Atlantic, BBC Culture, The Washington Post, Literary Hub, Longreads, The Millions, Electric Literature, and others. Born and raised in Gujarat, India, she now resides in Texas, USA.
