Many stories are set around Bardez – in the central Goan coastal area, and sometimes the narration pointedly refers to his home-village of Anjuna. These stories also paint a wider picture of far-reaching social change taking place in Goa over a half-century.

About the Author
The author (1947) loves remembering the times that were, and narrating stories of the past for today’s generation. His sharp mind drew an appreciative audience for his writings on the INternet, particularly through Goanet, since 2003. This resulted in his first book Goa – A nostalgic romp through a bygone era (2007).
He grew up in a coastal village in Anjuna, Goa, and studied there and at Mapusa. His second book was on Mapusa and now he completes a hat-trick with this narrative on Anjuna.
The author has worked in Goa (Old Secretariat Panjim, 1967-71), Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. In October 2007 he retired from the Proffessional English Language Program and the College Preparatory Program as Advisor (Trainees) cum Chief Registrar of Saudi Aramco in Dhahran.
