Historian Kate Brittlebank is a leading authority on Tipu Sultan. She is the author of TIPU SULTAN'S SEARCH FOR LEGITIMACY: ISLAM AND KINGSHIP IN A HINDU DOMAIN, and several scholarly articles on the Mysore ruler. She has held teaching and research positions in a number of Australian universities.
