About the Contributors

Chatura Rao started her writing career as a journalist with the Times of India. She has written award-winning feature articles and books for children and adults. She teaches information arts and creative writing to young people at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology.

Proiti Roy earned her degree in fine arts from Kala Bhavan, Shantiniketan in 1987. In addition to illustrating stories for children, Roy has worked as a graphic designer in advertising and manufacturing, has worked with handicrafts in recycled mediums, and has taught art to children in Kolkata for 12 years. She loves animals and lives with 15 rescued dogs in West Bengal.
