About the Editor
The editor has been a long-time member of Kalpavriksh and editor of the Protected Area Update for nearly a quarter of a century now. He has a Master's Degree in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Pelhi, India and a recent PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He is currently Associate Professor, Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
He has written extensively on issues of conservation in India and more secently on the complex and very interesting relationships between science, society and technology. He is the author/editor of 10 books on a range of sopics including the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, protected areas and wildlife in different geographies of India and on technology, society and innovation with a special focus on nanotechnology in the Indian context.
