Ervell E Manezes has covered various aspects of journalism, beginning with Indian Express as a subeditor and ending up as news editor for five years before leaving in favour of freelance work and reporting for which he has travelled from Kathmandu to Kanyakumari. As a film critic, he has covered various festivals from Cannes to Berlin and several international film festival held in India. He has been a member of the Advisory panel of the Central Board of Film Censors and also on the panel for the National Film Awards.
